Family Day Open House at the Brant OGS Library

For anyone in the Brantford area, the Brant County OGS is holding an open house at their library - 114-118 Powerline Rd. Volunteers are on hand to assist you with your research. They have an extensive surname database, newspaper clippings (obits, birth, marriage, flashbacks) and so much more. As always, the library is FREE to use. Open today 10-4

Spring Workshop April 27th


Join us for our Spring Workshop on Saturday, April 27th, from 10-4

Registration, Coffee, Muffins, Social/Research Time from 9 - 10
Our morning speaker will be Denise Kirk who will be speaking about
Using Maps in Genealogy
And our afternoon speaker will be James F.S. Thomson who will talking about
New Developments in British and Irish Genealogy.
The workshop is open to everyone - members and non-members. The cost for the day is  $25 and this includes lunch! Our library and volunteers will be available to help you with any research you would like to do during the breaks.

Brant County Branch, OGS, is having an "Open House" at the branch library on Family Day, Monday February 18th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The library is located behind the Smoky Hollow Estates Club House, at 118 Powerline Road, Brantford, ON Website - E-mail: Telephone: 519-753-4140 - for further details and directions.

All the facilities will be available for research. There is no admission charge and there is adequate parking. Everyone is welcome.

Helen Doctor has donated her Native library to the branch. A large collection of the Women's Institute Tweedsmuir books are also at the library. The book “Understanding Ontario First Nations Genealogical Records" by David K. Faux, is on sale for $5.00 each.
